Hey, I'm 16 from Australia with an intreast in Film-making. I have been saving for a camera, I have about 2000 dollars now, but even so my uncle kept pressuring me to "make a film with what I've got" which is very little. Basically I made a film with a cheap little Digital Camera that has 20 second record without sound in 320x240.
I quickly threw together a short script, and invited my firends over. Eventually at 2 my friend Will came and we decided to film it. It took an hour or so before he got annoyed that we had to "redo" shoot. Damn amatures. Well I then eidted which took Hours because It's my first edit and my first export using Priemiere, quicktime and I had to search for good codecs and so forth.
*Yawn*
Low (2 Mb)

Med (4Mb)

(If you get a remote linking error you can veiw it from Here)
Am I happy with the film? Well there are a few places I would love to re-shoot (The Doorknob) and add to, to make it a little more attractive. And there are a few places where editing could be tighter but otherwise I would like your oppinions on it.
Thanks.

so i got to watch it by fiddling with URLs, you should put a dl link on your homepage and direct ppl there.
anyways, whereas i liked the idea and did not see the twist coming at all, i didn't particularly like the finished product, mainly due to the editing.
keep it up.

For a first attempt its very good... my first attempts are so appalling that they are never gonne be shown publicly!!! (but then again I was editing between 2 VHS recorders )
I'm not too keen on the sounds used in Aeth, they didn't create an atomsphere... but this takes practice.
I would have liked the character to run and hide behind the curtains at the end, it would have made the concept go full-circle.

I agree with the others, I enjoyed it, but the editing is pretty ropey and I didnt see the ending
coming.
Quite liked the sound track myself, I thought it was quite effective.
Thought the colouring was awful (the blue - yeuch) but its better than my ever first attempt!
At least you got a story in there!
nice one

Thanks for the remarks guys.
I have gotten heaps of remarks that the blue was great, but I guess everyone has his own tastes just as some say the sound was effective and others didnt like it.
It remains that the editing needed to be tighter, But it was my first go so I forgive myself.
I'm working on another short so wish me luck.

Great for a first attempt, never a dull moment. The blue worked for me, gives it a bump up from the harsh video look.

I likes it. for a first attempt. Wish i hadn't watched it at work at high volume though .
Hey, as for the blue, it's worked throughout James Cameron's entire career

Im so glad the response to this movie has been so great. Its a real spirt boost, so much in fact that Ive written and planned a sequal which includes a lot more to wrap my head around including blue screen effects. (Which I hope I can do on my ShitiCam.
I start filmimng Saturday.
Thanks everyone, I have posted this on two film forums (i dont know of any others to visit)and the response has been brillant. Thanks again.

Good stuff, young padawan Don't mind about the $2000 cam yet, keep up the storytelling. Cheers
